The Month Of Multiple Rewards

 

Afghans observe the Islamic month of Ramadan with religious fervour and reverence. Adults fast from dawn to dusk as it is obligatory for all Muslims, while many children do so out of passion.Almighty Allah increases the reward for good deeds many times during Ramadan. Hence, Muslims offer special prayers and give more charity during this blessed month.

Apart from submission to the will of God, the philosophy behind remaining thirsty and hungry during the day is to understand the sufferings of those who do not have enough to eat. It encourages wealthy people to be generous while helping the needy. Ramadan also brings the message of peace and brotherhood.
